Description
Type of vessel: Three-masted schooner. Built as sailing cargo ship. Built: 1918, J.J. Pattje, Waterhuizen, The Netherlands. Completely rebuilt 1988-89. Material: Steel. Length: 33.84 meters (loa 45 m incl. bowsprit). Beam: 7.02 meters. Draft: 3.21 meters. Air draft: 28 meters. Tonnage: 173 GT, 90 NT. Rigging: Steel masts with aluminium gaffs and larch top masts, electric halyard winches. 11 sails with total sail area about 600 m2. Main engine: Caterpillar 3406B, 350 bHp, new 1988, 5847 running hours. Twin-Disc MG-514C hydraulic gearbox, reduction 3,50:1. 3-bladed fixed pitch propeller. Aux. engines: 2 x Ford 2712E with Piller 30 kVA generators, 1500/2500 running hours. 1 x Valmet with 60 kVA generator in sound proofed box. Overhauled 2007. Cruising speed: 7 knots on about 30 litres/hour. Top speed around 8 knots. Range: Around 3500 nm. Bunkers: Diesel – 11 m3. Fresh water – 12 m3. Septic - 4,5 m3 in three tanks. Classification: Bureau Veritas I3/3 E, international trade, expires 30-03-2012. Swedish Maritime Administration certificates for 36 passengers in trade area B, 60 in area C, 82 in area E and as school ship in area A(50). Icom ICA22E flight VHF, Intercom, hydraulic steering. Safety equipment: 4 x DSB 16 person life rafts, 1 x Viking 25 person raft, 2 x Rescuer Sart, Kannad 406 WH Epirb. Fire alarm system, burglar alarm with bilge alarm via. Flame retardant interior. 97 life vests with lamp. Halotron fire suppression in engine room. Fire pumps in forecastle and engine room. Anchor winch with two 275 kg anchors and 125 mtrs of 22 mm chain. General arrangement: 12 guest cabins below deck (two with dual single berths, ten with one single and one double berth). All cabins have en-suite WC & shower, closet and A/C. Also below deck are two crew cabins with five berths total, both with shower & WC, as well as a store room with two freezers. Forecastle contains the Valmet genset and Daikin A/C central unit. Captain’s cabin in aft contains an office, a double berth, couch with table, WC & shower and a spare berth. Deckhouse contains the saloon with 16-32 table seats and a bar. Fore of saloon is the galley with two hot air ovens, frying bench, dish washer, fridge and coffe maker, all kitchen equipment of top restaurant standard. Deck holds 50 dining guests under canvas. Extra WC on deck. History: Built as sailing cargo vessel “Nora”, she was sold to Germany in 1923. Motorized 1925, returned to Holland after WWII. Sold to Sweden in 1953 in cargo trade until 1976 when she was again sold to Groningen, Holland where the restoration to original condition began. The vessel was modernized with exclusive interior. Current owners have sailed her in the charter trade since 1989. Price: € 1,900,000. Euro.
