Description

This ship has been rebuilt inside into a luxurious private yacht. Built in Quebec, Canada for the Canadian Coast Guard for use as a buoy tender and sounding vessel. Designed and constructed for light-duty ice breaking with the first 30 years of service was operating year round in fresh water on the St. Lawrence Sea Way. Originally accommodating a crew of 34, the vessel was sold to a U.S. buyer in 1993, at which time the conversion began with a number of cabins removed to make way for a large master cabin and main saloon. Other changes included parquet teak sole added on the main deck level, and teak and holly sole added to the pilothouse and sky lounge deck levels. A second buyer purchased the vessel in 1998 and moved the vessel to Jacksonville, Florida where it undewent a 6 months mechanical refit of all engines and operating systems, including the addition of stabilizers. Currently the ship is cruising the Sea of Cortez operating from La Paz, Baja California Mexico.
